It is possible really for an earthquake to happen anywhere. Or at least really anywhere can feel the effects of one. Earthquakes are caused by shifts in the earth's crust, so if you live on or near a fault line, or the line where two of earth's tectonic plates meet, then erthquakes are likely as those plates shift and collide. Mountains are a result of plate collisions with earthquakes.....do you live near mountains..dun dun dun....
