there several places it can leak hoses,over flow box ,freeze plugs waterpump,headgaskets,weep hole in waterpump,radeator.

No. It will keep running until overheated to the point of a ruined engine.
Mine did the same thing.It could be many problems.First thing i tried was to flush it and put in some leak sealer.Surprisingly it worked and have had no problems since.
I had the same problem with my 5.9L and it was the timing chain housing leaking antifreeze. It could also be a freeze plug maybe but that is rare. Hope this helps
