Ohio...
ANS2:Volcanoes are least likely to be found near the center of continental plates and where there are no slip faults or subduction zones. While Ohio has plenty of faults, none are geologic, so one would have to concur that volcanic activity is not likely. For "least likely" take a look at the Himalayan mountain range that is still growing from the collision of the Indian and Asian plates. The thickness of the crust would make a volcano very unlikely.
Another answer for you to consider would be that you'll not find a volcano on the edge of a plate that is being subducted...that would typically be on the sea floor side of a subduction zone. The volcanoes will be found on the other side of the zone where the continental plate overrides the subducted plate.
It is tough to answer a "Least Likely" question by giving a single location and it will fail to impress if you say "where they never happen". You will need to give an answer and then justify your choice in order to demonstrate your understanding and get full credit.
It would be technically correct, and easy to justify, to say that volcanoes are least likely to be found on planets and moons that have solid cores but, you might not get credit for that answer...report back if you try it.
