no it will not, because they're not connected with the same switch
Bad connection somewhere, switch, relay or ground.
Interior lights often stay on after the door is closed because of a faulty relay. There could also be a broken wire or a short circuit.
it could be the headlight relay. if not it may be in the switch.
When you open the door a switch is closed and that turns on the interior lights. When you turn the key off and exit the car the lights are kept on by a timied relay. I would think that the most likely culprit would be the door switch. It may be loose or misadjusted and randomly making contact. Look inside the door frames for the switch and see if any are loose. Push on them and see if the lights go out. Make sure one of them is not "Sticky". TommyTrouble
Headlights, interior lights stop working.checked all fuses. I would suspect the headlight switch and/or the electrical connection at the headlight switch is faulty.
Blown fuse or a door switch is hanging up.
It sounds like a blown fuse or a bad head light switch
If the interior and parking lights are not working on a 1999 Nissan Pathfinder, the first fuses to check would be the interior light fuse. Also check to make sure the light switch is in the right position to allow the interior lights to come on.
Check fuses if there is one specific for the lights (not interior) Find it funny that both would burn out at the same time so would imagine it is in the switch.
Just a guess , has your guage lighting dimmer wheel switch been rotated all the way down ( or to one side ) ? I believe that will turn off all the interior lights It is located to the right of your headlight switch
I would assume that there is a relay for the parking lights. It sounds like the relay has frozen with the contacts closed. Replacing this relay should solve the problem.
