Dealer said cable is run through a steel tube. They had to cut tube to replace broken cable.
There is only 1 way the serpentine belt will go on, there is no alternate way.

The emissions decal on the fan shroud will have a crude diagram telling you what goes to what. Also, a chassis manual(factory service manual) would have it, and possably a chiltons book. -Martin Deutschman Stop by www.oldspower.com they can help you out.
There should be a sticker under the hood right around the lever to open it, the sticker shows you the correct way.

I found that when you buy a new belt you can ask the person at the parts counter to print a copy of the routing diagram for you. (advanced autoparts)
