I found that when you buy a new belt you can ask the person at the parts counter to print a copy of the routing diagram for you. (advanced autoparts)
CD playerIm having trouble putting in my CD player of my 1995 cutlass supreme anyone know what color wires go to what color?
where can you find a free diagram for putting a air conditioning belt on a 2001 Montero sport Mitsubishi?
Between the engine and firewall labeled TRANS. Under the Air Filter/ Intake box there is a red cap on the transmission for putting in fluid. There is no dipstick that I know of on a 1999 Cutlass w/ 3100 "J" motor.
yes you do .we are putting a 5inch lift on a cutlass and it has 22s.
Well, we'd need to know the exact model. For a few bucks, you can get the tools you need at Harbor Freight, and replace it yourself in about five to ten minutes. All you have to do is rotate the tensioner counterclockwise to give it some slack so you can take the old belt off, do the same when putting on the new belt, and make sure you follow the routing diagram.
you start by putting the belt on from left to right.
this year of car has no serpentine belt, you should be able to loosen the ac compressor to where it will move to let you remove the belt for this unit after putting new belt on pull back so that you have tension on the belt and have it where you want then re-tighten the bolts you loosened. it should be the same serpentine belt as the alternator. just find the tensioner pulley, take the old belt off and put the new one on.
Remove the negative (black) cable from the battery. dissconnect any power wires running to the starter. remove two bolts located on the starter. Have someone help so they can hold the starter while you loosen bolts. When putting starter back in reverse procedure.
how do i install a ltinator belt on a 1989 dodge dynasty I had the parts store print out a diagram but then when I was actually putting it on, I found the diagram on the engine toward the front. One suggestion I'd like to make. I found it easier to put the belt on so it was between the tensioner and the engine at first. Then when I was holding the tensioner with one hand it was easier to slip the belt toward me with the other rather than dealing with pulling the belt up and over.
It sounds like you may have one of two serious safety problems. A wheel bearing is very bad. The wheel sensor is bad. Either way the system has to be scanned the issue tracked down and repaired.
The diagraim is under the hood. Look harder
your local parts store can give you a free print out of the diagram. but if you know that and want the easiest way to put it on, i find it better to release the tensioner pulley a bit , pulling it forward, putting the belt on, then putting the tensioner pulley back where it was. now be careful putting it back. it may snap back at you, n i tellyou what, that's smarts! but yanking the belt to put it over that alternator takes your entire body strength. there really is no easy way. its a pain in the *** on any car.
