In the sea mate. Arrr.
A fish living freshwater would be hyperosmotic to its surroundings. This means that it is surrounded by water that is less salty than its blood. Therefore, the main challenge for freshwater fish is to retain enough salt from fresh water for normal bodily functions, resulting in very dilute urine, since they have to get rid of more water relative to salt. A marine fish (salt water fish) has the opposite problem. It is hypoosmotic to its environment, meaning that it lives in water that is saltier than its blood. Therefore, the main challenge for marine fish is to expel enough salt from saltwater to enable it to use the water it takes in for normal bodily functions, resulting in concentrated urine, since they have to get rid of more salt relative to water.
there is salt in the sea, not in rivers
All the salt water fish would die and there would be no sea salt
a clown fish will die because it is a ocean fish and with out salt water , it will die in fresh water.
it would prob die because the salt water fish need salt water so yeah it would die.
It would die and so would a salt water fish in fresh water.
the name of the salt water fish is not given. more to the pointy is that gold fish are fresh water fish- therefore salt water fish other than anteroom's or catadromos fishes would eventualy die. These fish die because the salt water is cooler than claen water. Also, it would depend on what the temperature of the tank was before you changed it.
If the fish are fresh water fish the kidneys would not work. The fish would die.
Piranhas are freshwater fish, living in the Amazon basin.Actually they are both freshwater and salt.... Mostly freshwater though!
put it in salt water
collect salt and sell it for money
If the salt water fish were to be put in fresh water then their high salt content inside their bodies (to prevent too much salt diffusing into their bodies) will have it diffusing out down the concentration gradient; killing them. If the fresh water fish were to be put in salt water then their low salt content inside their bodies (to prevent too much salt diffusing out of their bodies) will have it diffusing in again down the concentration gradient; killing them.
