I have a 1987 Ford E350 with a 460 engine motorhome. I finally located the fuel pump relay after many hours of searching. It is located under the hood on the drivers side mounted near the top of the front wall of the engine compartment. It is in front of the battery (I have 2 batteries, one on each side) and in my case just to the right of the small plastic tank for the radiator overflow (as you are looking at it from the front). It is black and only about an inch square and is plugged into a green socket with 4 wires attached to it. Hope this helps others as this was very difficult to find.

You would have to be more specific. Which relay are you looking for? Most relays are mounted under the hood along the firewall.
On mine, it is located behind the passenger side headlight. You need to pull the headlight out to get to it.
In a 2006 Ford E-350 : In the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) located in the engine compartment : ( Relay " A " is the fuel pump relay , it is next to fuses # 21 and # 22 )
In the gas tank.
Your fuel pump would be located in the gas tank. It is mounted on the pick-up tube/sending unit assembly.
It won't have a relay. Usually it is the switch, or the fan motor that goes bad.
No the wiring isn't the same
In the engine compartment there is a box (power distribution box)that has several fuses and relays in it. My owners guide says that it should be relay #3, but check the inside of the top to see if that is correct.

About the best thing to do would be to test your relay to find out what is going on. This site has some info for testing relays The site is also included below: http://www.autozone.com/ az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/04/d0/45/0900823d8004d045/ repairInfoPages.htm
