The engine works more efficiantly as the air is denser when cold, more fuel can be used allowing for more power from a smaller engine
They certainly are. Using them together with carburetted engines can be a bit tricky, and usually the compression has to be lowered when compared to a naturally aspirated engine.
Efficiency and cost. The maintenance of a steam engine can be very costly as compared to a diesel engine as well.
The higher the load the more fuel will be used to move that load. The engine must work harder the more weight it must pull. The harder the engine works the more fuel it uses.
For the same reason as a propeller, but faster and more efficient.
a radiator is used to cool down the engine using a liquid, whereas an intercooler is used to cool the air going to the engine or cooling the air comming from a turbo. What that does is that there will be more air particles in a defined volume of space if the air is cold, compared to hot air in the same volume of space. This is due to air contracting in cold temperatures. The result is more air going to the engine and therefore more generating more power.
Because the air conditioning compressor, is run from a pulley off of the engine. This puts an additional load on the engine, which causes more fuel to be used.
It can be used in cars to make it run more effiecent and faster. It also keeps the engine cleaner.
Big block engine is a term used to refer to a larger engine usually around 340 or more cubic inches. They are usually V-8 engines and are used in larger trucks or cars.
Yes. Bigger tyres=> more friction => more strain on engine=> more fuel used
This is the engine capacity. Essentially this is the volume swept by the cylinders by every rotation of the engine. More capacity means more power and higher running costs due to more fuel/air mixture being used by each rotation of the engine
4.6engine v8 Ford Explorer how much. Even a good used engine from a wrecking yard will cost more than $150.
