First take your volt meter and set it to DC volts and place the red terminal on the positive (+) side of your battery and the black terminal on the negative (-) side of the battery and you should be getting at least 12 volts DC if you are seeing any less than 12 you most likely have a weak battery
disconnect neg. battery main terminal. remove the brace below the intake manifold 3 boltd now unbolt starter. and wires to it , take off. its out. reverse above. battery is always first off , last on.
make sure radio settings/presets are saved disconnect negative battery terminal disconnect positive battery terminal unscrew the battery mount take battery out put new battery in put the mount back reconnect battery terminals
No, that is definitely not normal. You have a problem. Take the vehicle to your local auto parts store and let them test the charging system.
well first you need wire cutters and you are going to need the terminal. disconnect the battery, cut the old terminal, you want to try to save the length of the wire so cut as close to the old terminal as possible, next take the wire and you sort of have to feed it into the proper end of the new terminal. Make sure there is a good strong connection on the wires from the car and the new terminal and finally reconnect the new terminal to the battery and start it up. hope this helps
Take it to auto zone and they will check the alt for free. You might clean the battery cables first.
You can test your battery with a battery tester. If you don't have a battery tester, you could take the battery to Advance Auto Parts and they will test it for you for free.
Take the positive battery terminal loose and touch it to the negative terminal post for 30 seconds. Then put the positive terminal back on.
battery for Oldsmobile alero?dude ...The battery is located under the hood. just take out one bolt that hold the battery and take the two terminal cable out which is positive and negative.make sure loosen up the negative first just for safe?????????????////// I think the battery is hidden inside your driver side fender
Remove the battery and take it to an Auto Parts store. They will check it and tell you if it is defective.
Hey Greg==It can be both. Try charging the battery first. If it won't take a charge replace the battery then take it to Auto zzone who will check the alternator for free. GoodluckJoe
