butter is good as its a good acompliment like for instance if you were having it with toast or crumpets it has many uses like for cooking, basting, thickening sauces,

but in the same breath cream is amazing i meen a nice slice of chocolate cake can only be admired when you have some fresh cream on the side of it, it just makes the dish

so yeah it may be a tough decision as they both have their uses but in my personal opinion i think cream is much nicer and better.

hopefully many people agree :)

No, butter has more fat.

Is cheese and butter are same?

No butter is churned milk fat (if you whip cream long enough you get butter (milk fat) and "buttermilk" (mostly water with milk protein). Cheese is curdled milk with the whey extracted (usually by pressure). The curdling agent causes the milk protein to coagulate. So, cheese is less fat and has more protein than butter (which is almost pure fat).

Can you use reduced fat cream cheese and single cream instead of double cream and full fat cream cheese in a cheesecake?

Reduced fat and even fat free cream cheese products work just as well as their full fat counter parts when making cheese cake. I recommend following the same instructions for any cheese cake recipe but rather than making a crust, which usually is created with butter, try putting low-fat graham crackers on the bottom of a glass serving dish with the cheese cake filling layered on top and topped off with fruit. The same idea can be turned into a parfait dessert if individual desserts are desired.
