If you are looking for a cheap cell phone plan, I would recommend signing a contract with Fido because they have really cheap plans that start at ten or fifteen dollars, which includes text messages and an amount of minutes.
The cheapest unlimited cell phone without a contract would be with Boost Mobile. Tracphone is great but it requires that you purchase minutes.
A cheap and unlocked cell phone would have a lot of options and capabilities compared to an locked phone. This person would have more access to applications and programs on their phone.
You cannot buy an iPhone in stores for such cheap price and not sign a 2 year contract on that phone. That is the reason these phones are so cheap. In order to have an iPhone you can use like an iPod Touch, you must either purchase an unlocked, contract-free iPhone which would be $450 more expensive than its contracted counterpart, or you must simply wait for your two year contract to end for your phone to become unlocked (this will increase your phone's value if you plan to sell it online).
The cheap and free cell phones offered through your carrier with a contract always seem like the best deal out there. Unfortunately, you usually end up paying far more for the phone over the course of your contract than you would have if you'd bought the cell phone up front at retail cost.Cell Phone Contracts Include The Price Of Your PhoneIf you compare the price of a cell phone contract with a free phone and a cell phone plan without a contract or low cost phone included, you'll frequently see a price difference of up to twenty dollars. Over the life of your contract, this cost will usually add up to far more than you would have paid to buy cell phone initially. The cost of a free or cheap cell phone is subsidized by your contract length and phone bill. Save money by buying the phone you want on sale or even at retail price and avoid the long term carrier commitment. You'll be able to switch whenever you want and you'll end up paying less money in the long run.
A cheap unlocked cell phone would probably be a used flashed phone. A flashed phone is a phone that is able to be used by other carriers. New ones wouldn't be cheap.
Good phone but I would prefer the iphone.
I would recommend that you get the Virgin Mobile service. They have phones for as cheap as 10 dollars! I use virgin and it is pretty reliable and cheap as well. There is NO contract. you can buy phone cards that will add money that you can use to buy texting, minutes, or even internet. Most department and grocery stores cell the phones and cards. Wal-Mart and Target [just to name a few].
Cheap phone calls are phone calls that do not cost much money. They work by saving you money that those phone calls would normally have cost you. If you have free minutes or you call collect these calls may be cheap for you.
No, you don't need a contract. You can get a pre-paid phone which means no contract/monthly phone bill, but it depends what you mean by "getting a phone". If you already have a contract and just need a new phone than u can just buy a phone but you will have to pay full price for it unless you have upgrades. If you're a new client than yes you would either have to sign a contract or you could just get a pre-paid phone.
I would like to know if its possible to turn my verizon contract phone and switch it to a pre-pay??
It's not a necessary "upgrade" without the contract. You would end up paying full price for the phone or starting a contract and getting the low price for the phone
