Generally, any coat colour that is not black, yellow or chocolate are not accepted by the AKC and will be disqualified in shows.

The AKC has now approved silver to be a shade of chocolate, but many still believe this occurrence to be due to an introduction of a Weimaraner somewhere along the line. Many breeders will promote 'white' or 'fox red' labradors, but these are merely light and dark variations on the yellow color and are not considered rare.
