∙ 10y agoIn short, any day a woman has sex and doesn't use Birth Control she can fall pregnant - unless a woman is using a method such as fertility awareness method she cannot accurately determine when she is fertile or not.
Typically during an average 28 day cycle a woman will be fertile days 7-16 - ovulation around day 14, there may be a viable egg for up to 48 hours, and a week prior to ovulation where there is fertile quality cervical mucus present which can keep sperm alive for up to 7 days. But again it must be stressed that unless a woman uses FAM she cannot know when she is fertile or not as cycles can change, thus birth control should always be used.
