Ambien, Lunesta and Rozerem are three common, effective drugs that are used by those suffering from a lack of sleep, or insomnia. These drugs are only available by prescription. An over-the-counter drug that may help with insomnia is melatonin.

Is Doriden legal in the US?

Doriden is a Schedule II drug in the US. Therefore it is legal to dispense in the United States. Unfortunately it is no longer manufactured leaving many that truly need this medication unable to obtain it. The drug is one of the most effective sleep aids ever developed. However, due to an insignificant amount of abuse the manufacturers were pressured by the DEA to cease manufacture. As the patent had long expired no manufacturer was willing to take on the fight. Doriden is the brand name for the drug glutethimide. The drug was used for refractory sleep disorders for more than thirty years beginning in the 1950s. It is one more casualty in the so-called war on drugs. The result is many individuals were left with the only choice to take much more addictive (and less effective) and much more expensive branded sleep medications. Supposedly some individuals are allowed to import it to the Unted States under the orphan drug law.

Does a lack of sleep cause a lack of energy?

Absolutely Your body uses sleep as a rebuilding time for muscles. Your muscles use energy most efficiently. If they never have time to recover then they cannot work properly. Therefore your energy can be depleted. However, lack of energy can be a sign of more serious issues such as anemia or thyroid problems. If this is an on going problem you should definitely consult your physician.

What is the most effective way of taking a drug?

First off, let me just start off by saying "more effective" doesn't mean "safer". Anyways, most agree that direct passages to the blood stream are the most effective ways to get high. This way, your body doesn't filter as much of the substance if you were to say eat the drug. Insufflation (snorting), rectal absorbtion, and injection are three ways drug users get more "bang for their buck".

How can you trick your body into thinking you got more sleep than you did?

You can trick your body into feeling more rested by incorporating power naps throughout the day, staying hydrated, exercising regularly, and practicing good sleep hygiene habits such as sticking to a consistent sleep schedule and creating a restful sleep environment. Additionally, avoiding caffeine, alcohol, and heavy meals close to bedtime can help improve the quality of your sleep.
