No empire forced Cleopatra out of Egypt. The was deposed and exiled by Pothinus, a court Eunuch who was regent for he younger brother, Ptolemy XIII, and Achillas one of the guardians of Ptolemy and commandeer of his troops. When Julius Caesar went to Egypt he called her back to Egypt because he wanted to arbitrate the dispute between her and her brother's guardians. He then took her side and became her lovers. She then became the lover of Marc Antony and the two of them committed suicide in Alexandria of Egypt when they were defeated by Octavian.
