Sailor Venus is part of the Sailor Moon anime series. In the storyline she was the first to be approached and woken up by the moon cats but in the anime series she is one of the last major characters to make an appearance.
Sailor Venus' powers revolve around crescents, love, and metal. She was the first Sailor Senshi (Scout) to be awakened, and acted as Sailor V before she became Sailor Venus. Her attacks include Crescent Beam, Crescent Beam Shower (in the anime only), Love-Me Chain, and Love and Beauty Shock. In the manga, she also had Rolling Heart Vibration, an energy-based attack, and Wink Chain Sword, where she used her love-me chain as a sword. When she and the other Sailor Senshi were used by Sailor Galaxia, she used a variation of her Love and Beauty attack, called Love and Galactica Shock. She occasionally had access to weapons, such as her Crescent Compact as Sailor V, which she used in the Crescent Boomerang attack, the Holy Blade in the manga (used to kill Queen Beryl), and the Crescent Moon Cutter in the live action, which functioned as a throwing blade. Sailor Venus gained access to her powers as she awakened from Sailor V to Sailor Venus (remembered her past with Princess Serenity and the other Guardian Senshi on the Moon), as she powered up, typically after Sailor Moon gained a new transformation and/or powers, or in one case, after she was killed and made into an soldier of Sailor Galaxia. For example, Venus gained her "Crescent Beam Shower" attack in the first part of the R season of the anime (Season 2), when a cardian sent by Ail and An could not be defeated by her normal Crescent Beam attack. Encouraged by Sailor Moon and a busful of kindergarten students, Venus powered up her normal attack and multiplied it, resulting in the one-time appearance of "Crescent Beam Shower."
