Tracheophytes (trees/green plants) provide most of the world's oxygen.
Coniferous forest
oak trees
One, the unique fauna and flora. Believe it or not, many medicines are derived from rain forest plants. Most importantly, our oxygen comes from plants, the more plants, the more oxygen. And the rain forest is quite abundant with plant life. They are the 'lungs' of the world.
Coniferous forest
The bulk of oxygen production on Earth is from phytoplankton in the oceans.
because it serves their own habitat and most of all it gives protection to any other species.
The largest rain forest in the world would have to be theAmazon rain forest in Africa. This particular rain forest is teaming with all sorts of wildlife. It preserves the most species of animals and plants in the world.
The most humid place in the world is the cloud tree forest.
Amazon, in Brasil
Plants photosynthesise to produce oxygen. They also act as a carbon sink. I suppose the largest source of oxygen on Earth is the Amazon forest in South America. Amazon forest is five and a half million square kilometers (1.4 billion acres) big. It is currently the world's most important carbon sink. The Amazon forest is estimated to produce 20% of the world's oxygen supply, excluding all the other plants (e.g. grass). For that, I suppose this is the largest source of oxygen on our planet.
