Probably, but not certainly, Photoshop. On the other hand, the Gimp is free, and is better at certain kinds of tasks. If you're trying to get a job as a graphic designer, then Photoshop, because it's an industry standard. If you're just doing it as a hobby, you might want to see if GIMP is "good enough" for you... chances are that it is.
It's a matter of personal opinion. Photoshop is probably used by more professional artists. On the other hand, the Gimp is free.
One very good free alternative to Photoshop is Gimp. There is also Gimp Shop that is a Gimp that looks similar to Photoshop.
Photoshop has more fixed features and could be better for some users. One downside to Photoshop is the price, GIMP is free.GIMP "scripts" are more flexible and can use image parameters whereas Photoshop "Actions" use absolute values.Gimp can be run on far more machines (operating systems) than Photoshop.
GIMP is a free alternative to Photoshop.
It's a photoshop program.
Some people modify the image using programs such as Adobe Photoshop, GIMP, etc. to make them look better.

On a photo-editing software. You can use Photoshop, Corel Painter, Gimp, Photfiltre, Photoscape. But the best two are Photoshop and Corel Painter. However you have to pay for those, if your not willing you can use Gimp, Photofiltre, and Photoscape which are free. Gimp is the best among the free one. I personally have Photoshop and Gimp. And you can learn how to make avi's and effects from tutorials.Hope this helped
