Chrome has developed quickly and is already more popular than Firefox. It has extensions, plugins, themes, and has passed Firefox in many browser tests, such as the Sunspider. It aims to be the fastest browser out there.
Start-up Time
Google Chrome starts up faster.
Chrome does in general start up faster, most noticeable when doing a cold boot. Firefox has however been improving its speed lately and is catching up.
Memory
Memory use varies depending on add-ons (extensions and plugins) and overall system usage of memory in relation to available memory. However, when your computer is idle, Firefox does sometimes start hogging its memory. When going out of idle state, the memory usage drops accordingly.
Security and Stability
Google Chrome creates a new process for each tab and extension running.
This makes each tab a bit more isolated from the rest, so it may end up making the browser more secure and stable. In Firefox, sometimes if one site is misbehaving, you have to kill the entire browser (and along with it all the other tabs which are open). However, in real life scenarios Google Chrome is reported to fully crash more often than Firefox. [citation needed]
Compatibility
Both of the browsers offer about the same compatibility with some webpages working better in one or the other of the browsers. An extension called IE Tab, which is available for both browsers, emulates internet Explorer to make IE-only webpages available on other browsers.
Updating
Google Chrome updates automatically.
This keeps everyone on the same version, improving compatibility and helping the web to modernize. Firefox makes you manually update to each new release.
In the end, it is up to your personal needs. Something to note is that all browsers, including ones not listed here such as Opera and Internet Explorer, are subject to constant change and which one is better is likely to change in the future.
It depends on your needs. Firefox has tons of add-ons to increase it's usability and add features. Chrome is optimized to load faster and it uses separate processes to give the smallest CPU impact when doing little, but can suck up memory fast if opening many tabs at once.
Many people prefer Firefox over Google Chrome. It is really a personal preference.
Google Chrome
Do what I did - get Google Chrome or another better browser. Firefox is notorious for crashing.

It is hard to say. Some people like Google Chrome and others like Firefox. Try them both for a week and see which one you like better.
