I concur. Not only that the cinematic scope of star wars brings people back the basic questions of good and evil in life. While Star Trek tries to expound the most intricate problems then impose the writers views about what is right.

star wars is also better because star trek is a lame ass show from 1960sor 50s or 70s or i dont know that was realy fake and the new star trek movie(208-09) was realy sukish even gi joe(2009) was beter than star trek and some Star Wars Movies except for revenge of the sith.

Star wars will never die. People short of money are just going to keep on making more and more new merchandise. The idea of Star Wars is so flexible that in the end we'll forget the main, original characters.

I have to admit, Star Trek has better technology that Star Wars, I mean - The Borg Cube vs the Death Star? Borg cube would easily win - but I believe Star Wars has a much better storyline and better character and planets - it's also more action packed and the merchandise in so much better. Also, when I argue with my Trekkie friend at school I always win (I just say "Right Ok, so your saying that just because Star Wars had a much larger box office praise that Star Trek, we have lightsabers, and there has been a religion inspired by Star Wars - Star Trek is still better, is it? No, I didn't think so).

Fans on both side have their points of view but the fact of the matter is Star Wars has more fans than Star Trek. Personally I think Star Wars is way better. PS: Star Wars rocks !

Star wars has been around for 33 years and is dead while Star Trek has been around for 44 years and is still going strong.

Star trek is better for only one reason; Empires and people in Star Wars are fighting all the time seeking to kill people, they use weapons of mass destruction, destroy planets, and all they know is war. There never seems to be a era of peace. Even if there is one, it is very short. the Republic/Empire/New Republic only care about killing people. I think that is crap to see death all the time from Star Wars. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. And no, im not a pacifist.

However, the star trek weapons are kind of suckish and so are the people in the 2200s- late 2330s, and at that point the Ferderation is weak to attacks from the Borg and other enemies with Kirk and those fools.

However, Picard, Worf, Riker, and the others are so much better and higher quality.

ONLY STAR TREK MOVIES ARE GOOD.

There is only one ship that I consider worthy.

The only good Star Trek Movies are First Contact, Nemisis, Insurrection, Voyage Home, and Star trek in 2009.

I conclude that Star Trek is better than Star Wars by some, but if you are going to see either of the two, see only the movies, not the TV shows. Clone Wars Sucks.

Star Trek is obviously better because at least it's barely possible. Star Wars has magic spells that they call "the Force", which not only is silly, but they never use it right.

Every time I would see a fight between two Jedi or Sith or whatever, and they'd be using "the Force" to throw big stuff at each other. I'd be like, hello? - why not just squeeze his heart to a pulp with a lot less effort?

It's sad how otherwise good and decent scifi nerds get turned away from Star Trek, and seduced by the lame side of the genre that is Star Wars.

Star Wars? Star Trek? The cooler one is quite obviously Star Trek. There is a scientific explanation for everything. They even tell you why humanoids are dominant in the galaxy. Second, with only light speed capability, how does anyone in Star Wars get anywhere? It would take them 4 years just to get to the closest star besides our sun, Alpha Centauri. It only took Cochrane 286 days at only warp one! Another thing is that they have lasers in Star Wars which could never do anything to things like deuranium. Also, as a counter to answer A for Star Wars, Think of places in Star Trek Like DS9, Domin Nor and the Son'a Starbase. Subace Rifts! If you had a Daedulus Class (2153) versus the Death Star all it would take would be a photon torpedo or well-aimed phaser to blow the entire thing up. Lastly; Ocampans have telekinictic abilities
It Depends on your opinion. I like Star Trek better because they have actual science rules and thinking. I believe that the scriptwriter used some professors to add the physiology, and science. Star Wars, while it entertains just as great, it doesn't provide the science, thinking, and physiology. Overall, I kind of believe that starships like The U.S.S. Enterprise will exist in the 23rd century. But, I won't be able to know.
