∙ 13y agothey are all easy to care for and have the same lifespan. rats are alot more interactive and sweeter than mice and hamsters. rats enjoy interacting with their owners and can be trained they are more like little dogs than rodents. mice and hamsters are not as interactive and usually nip more often and take longer to tame

The rats are much more social. But my favourite pet is mouse.

I would say and dwarf hamster any kind there cheaper and they wont chew the bars of your hamster cage they are really cute. but do not get two and try not to let them escape your hands. They are really fast runners that's why i got the teddy bear hamster because they come in cute colors and they don't bite as much and you can get more than one. =)
