Well, being brand new and unmodded, I should think that the 98' Camaro would take this one- Its LS1 has about 100 less ponies than the Dodge, but it report 0-60 times of slightly under 5 Seconds, 4.9 to be exact. The Magnum reports times of just over 5 seconds in the 0-60 sprint. However there are a number of factors that could turn the tide of this match up, such as transmissions, and bolt on modifications. But their acceleration numbers are so close that your results could be slightly different. Race 'em and find out!
Another answer: It's a Drivers race. The SRT8 had about 100 more horses BUT the Magnum had a VERY heavy chassis and need those extra ponies. (Z28 weighing about 3300-3400, srt8 pulling in 4200) And FYI VERY few LS1 made sub 5 sec times (those with LS6 heads did) but for the most part they weighed in at 5.2-5.3 0-60 times which is about on par with the SRT8. So once again its a driver's race. Whoever is the better driver will pull it off. But make everything identical then the cars are even.
If both are stock, the Magnum RT will be a half second faster in the 1/4 mile.
Stock for stock, too close to call
The camero will be faster if both are stock
z28 They pretty much even. The Dodge has more horsies but much more weight. I've seen some pull 14.8 and seen others pull 13.9 (stock). Ive seen stock 95 Z28 pull anywhere from 14.6 to 13.8 (VERY rare). I myself in my 1995 Z28 A4 Convert pulled 14.2 stock with timeslips to prove. About $1k invested and im pulling 13.26
Believe Saleen as it has been modified while Camaro SS is a stock Vehicle
Yes
The Camaro might have a slight edge due to its lighter weight and better aerodynamics
definitely the z28. the charger has a little more horsepower, but it weighs over 4000 lbs. that's over 500 lbs more than the camaro. LT1 wins this one.
The front speakers sre 6 1/2
The camaro would win.
Stock Dodge Magnum 360 engine in the Ram was rated at 245hp/335ft-lbs of torque.
the dodge 360 1994 that i dynoed with everything stock was pushing 424.6 Hp @ 5500 RPM 230 hp was the advertised rating.
