The best of totto chan to me was the part where the headmaster, Mr Kobayashi scolded one of the kindergarten teacher for not being sensitive to a remark she made to a boy whom she finds cute. The remark may seem harmless but Mr Kobayashi does not take it lightly, instead he viewed it with great concern and anger for the casual remark made as it may hurt the esteem of the child or made him feel mocked. It shows how implicit he was is in caring a child's self esteem. He always emphasizes on not damaging a child's self esteem, especially those who are physically handicapped.
