A yeast cell is the biggest followed by the bacteruim then the virus
The virus is easily the smallest it can be up to 1/10000th of the size of a bacterium!
A bacteria is about 1.8 millionth of a meter a yeast cell is about a 12 millionth of a meter which means the yeast cell is more than 6x larger than a bacterium!
The YEAST cell is by far the biggest cell out of a BACTERIUM and a VIRUS.... I know this 'cos it was on my science homework and 'cos i found it on another website which gave me the urge to put it here since the question hadn't been answered....x
Viruses are, by far, the smallest. Bacteria and yeast cells have a complete cell structure, including the nucleus and all of the other parts of a cell. Viruses don't, so they have to inject their 'material' (I don't remember the name of the inside the virus) into the 'host' cell and force it to duplicate the viruses, which kills the host cell.
this dont give me no answer
A white blood cell is the biggest then the anthrax bacterium then the influenza virus.Hope it helps! :)
well yeast is a bacteria, so im guessing it would be an animal cell. No, this is wrong! There are 3 types of micro-organism - Virus, bacteria and fungi. Yeast is a fungi. Yeast cells have many organelles in common with both animal and plant cells but it is very difficult to assign one or the other to a yeast cell.
a yeast cell of 3um
Generally speaking, the virus is a smallest living organism that consists of one DNA strand (or RNA), tightly wrapped in protein and lipids (fat molecules). Of course, some species of virus are larger than others. Nevertheless, a viral organism consists of a relatively limited amount of molecules, and it is ABSOLUTELY without a cellular structure and void of any cellular components. It can ONLY replicate inside a living cell. It is a parasitic organism by nature, and in order for it to complete its life cycle, it must utilize cellular structures of another organism. A virus cannot replicate independently. There is even a debate among microbiologists, as to whether or not it can meet the definition of life. Yeast, on the other hand, is a species of fungi. It can be unicellular (one cell) or can form multicellular clusters. Regardless, even unicellular yeast organism is BY FAR larger than any given viral particle.A virus is NOT a life form. It is NOT living in any sense. Viruses are much smaller than yeast.
a yeast cell by far. (If this is for science homework, i had the same question)
Yes, yeast is a single cell fungus.
A yeast cell.
Yeast
No where. A virus is not a cell.
