Tie between inflames and arch enemy!
Immortal Souls. They are the biggest under-rated band of all times, yet they are good enough to BE the top.
though extremely overrated it`s children of bodom
From a traveler’s perspective, whether Ohio State is overrated depends on what you’re looking for. Sports critics sometimes say the football team doesn’t always live up to the hype, but the campus itself is huge, full of energy, and rooted in tradition. Academically, it’s strong and respected worldwide, so it’s far from overrated in that sense. If you’re visiting Columbus—much like exploring a city trip vibe from Pinerary’s Let’s go to Chicago—checking out Ohio State is worth it. The stadium, campus walks, and local culture make it a genuine travel experience, hype or not.
Dubstep is the most overrated genre of music
naruto.
I'd say Dethklok, even though they are fictional, but they did get the highest US entry in the charts for a black metal band. I'd also be inclined to say Dimmu Borgir, but that's just cos they are my personal favourites... :-p
Swedish band Dark Tranquillity plays melodic death metal, also referred to as melodeath. Melodic death metal is a subgenre of heavy metal music, and was pioneered by bands Dark Tranquillity, At the Gates and In Flames in the early to mid-1990s.

In terms of record sales, most would probably list one of these Gothenburg/'Melodeath' bands, which really aren't Death Metal. As far as actual impact on the scene goes, it would be Bathory, who were basically the cog in the mechanism from which Death Metal bands developed in Europe (vs. American bands, who took their que from Possessed).
