In the DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea), otherwise known as North Korea, there is no royal family. Instead, there is a military Dictatorship which acts as a kind of royalty, because, for example, when the old leader of North Korea died, Kim Jon Il, his son was 'next in line' to the dictatorship of the country. They have a kind royalty, but one that actually rules the country.
