Rated at over one million scoville units, this pepper passes the Habanero pepper rated at 100,000 to 350,000 units on the Scoville Scale. Primarily found in Bangladesh, and the Northeast Indian states of Assan, Nagaland, and Manipur, the villagers hang these chilies on their fences to scare off wild elephants. This is reported as the only chili to get hotter as time goes by after eating it!
