To be honest, none at all. Alcohol is a carbohydrate. But you could try drinking in moderation or choose a non-alcoholic beer.
Lager tops is a pint of lager that has been "topped" off with lemonade. I always found it best to put the dash of lemonade in the glass first and then pour the pint (or half pint).
