Answer 1

The eye has developed a number of independent times during the history of evolution on Earth. It is easy to see how simple light sensitivity could grow, step by slow step, into such complex viewing apparatuses as we see today. And the beauty of it is, we can still find most of those intermediary steps in nature, showing us how they would have worked.

That question is still debated. According to the theory of the Big Bang followed by evolution, the eye (and everything else) resulted from random events stemming from natural laws, and life then developed by random processes, especially mutations.

The narrative of Divine Creation, which is contained in Genesis ch.1 and 2, states that God created the eye and all other things.

This teaches us that God exists, that our lives and the world are not random, and that the created things may be assumed to contain vast wisdom in their beautiful and purposeful design. (In recent decades, this wisdom has indeed been partially revealed, through increasingly powerful microscopes.)There are Creationists and religious people who espouse a belief in God-guided Evolution. Other Creationists, given the difficulties in Evolutionary theory, hold that this is unnecessary and that a recent and more direct Creation is the truth.

Evolution through random mutations, on the other hand, may be understood as implying that life is an accident, that perceived beauty and wisdom are ultimately purposeless, and that our instinctive yearning for the Eternal is just an electrical impulse in our brain.

If evolution were merely a belief in the same way that religion is a belief, then neither would be a better explanation, and it would be a choice we could make depending on our own preferences and biases.

Because evolution is not a belief, but is a process based on empirical evidence, evolution tells us what really happened. We can then choose to accept the evidence of science or go with the comfortable beliefs of religion. Whichever choice we make as individuals, the facts of evolution speak for themselves.

It would seem fair to say that science today can basically explain how the eye sees via its complicated chemical processes but they still cannot explain the 'why.' On the other hand, The Bible tells us that God created man and his/her parts but does not elaborate upon the internal processes that are involved. Even with the healing miracles of Jesus to the blind, it never speaks of any details into how sight is recovered - only the fact that is was.

How awesome would it be if the music for Aerial Garden Zone were to be used for the warp digivolving sequences in Digimon Adventure 3?

Evolution sequences in Digimon usually use original music made specifically for the anime, they don't borrow from videogames.

Does the amount of chromosomes in a species affect its rate of evolution?

The "rate" of evolution is most accurately gauged in terms of divergence between genetic sequences. Chromosomes are basically groupings of such sequences. It is certainly possible that the number and order of these groupings affect future developments (for instance: polyploidy and chromosomal fusions can affect speciation events), but they do little to affect the overall "rate" of divergence.

Why do scientists study proteins to find evidence for evolution?

Proteins reflect DNA sequences, so scientists study proteins to look for genetic similarities and differences in organisms.

Why is the evolution of sexual repoduction the most important steps in the evolution of eukaryotes?

The evolution of sexual reproduction allows for a much greater level of diversity than asexual reproduction because the genes of two individuals are mixing. Not only this, they are not mixing in the same combination every time, and all the processes like crossing over that are involved in sexual reproduction allow for a huge explosion in the diversification of eukaryotes. Also sexual reproduction is more open to error during its processes, allowing another factor that natural selction can act upon in addition to all the others. Answer For billions of years, prokaryotes evolved relatively slowly. With the evolution of nuclei, meiosis and sexual reproduction, life's evolution and species radiation exploded. This was because of meiotic prophase I's tendency to form chiasmata, mixing gene sequences. The gene sequences are already being mixed meiotically anyway, but the production of gametes, four haploid gametes from each diploid producer-cell. Anti-evolutionists pick on an argument for the impossibility of evolution actually occurring. Sexual reproduction and meiosis show clearly an actual impossibility of evolution not occurring. Sexual reproduction allowed for the explosive radiation of species. Protists, plant and animal species far outnumber bacterial species. All due to sexual reproduction and meiosis...........

How does molecular biology support the theory of evolution?

If you look at the gene sequences of a species, you can see a clear homology among the same species. Distantly related species wont have similarity at DNA level. Hence by knowing the molecular level information one can predict the evolution of a species.

How do sceintist study the evolution of plants?

Two ways: 1) they can compare DNA sequences to see how far they've diverged; and 2) they can study the fossil record to look for physical similarities and differences.
