Dual core E5200 (2.5GHz 2M) is better more than pentium d 925 (3GHz 4M), There is big different. E5200 performance equal double D925 performance.
With the dual core you can process more, but with the pentium at a slightly higher rate, I'd go with the celeron however.
All CPUs branded "Pentium 4" are single-cored.
Benchmark-wise, the Pentium Dual-Core E2200 is much faster than any Pentium 4. it also runs cooler and requires less power. While individual games may differ in their performance, most games these days are optimized for multiple processors, and the newest games will in fact require one.
you need to be more specific (specific dual core pentium model) as various dual core pentium processors have been created over the years that use several different socket types
The 3.2 GHz processor is slightly better. Please note that all 3.2 GHz Pentium 4s support Hyperthreading, so the 3.2 GHz isn't in any way disadvantaged.
The Intel Pentium 4 3.0 GHz processor is a single core processor, but if you'd like to upgrade to dual core, have a look at the Intel Pentium 4 531 3.0GHz Processor Upgrade RH008AV.
Core 2 duo 2.3 ghz is faster than Pentium D, because it has already 2 processors ^ the above statement is totally incorrect. The person that wrote it seems to not realize that Pentium D is Pentium 4 Dual Core. So 3.4ghz DUAL core is FASTER then a 2.3ghz DUAL core
The AMD Quad Core runs at 1.5 Ghz. Multiply it by the amount of cores and you get 6 Ghz. 6 Ghz vs. 3.20 Ghz, which means the Quad core is better than the Intel Pentium 4.
2.5 GHz is better than 2.1 GHz. It is because it is the latest processor. It will be faster than 2.1 GHz.
It really depends on the game.
dual core with 2.7 is enough. And you can chooose a better graphics card too. That is better
It depends on what you are going to be doing with the computer. Multi tasking, gaming..exc..
