If you mean Pompey the Great, no. In fact its doubtful if Cleopatra ever met him. However his son Gaius Pompey, did visit Egypt trying to get help against Caesar and its possible that she may have had an affair with him, although evidence for this is lacking. If you mean Pompey the Great, no. The true answer will be unknown, but studies of the past reveal that the two were extremely close friends. Cleopatra gave Caesar money in exchange for defeating her brother. Caesar also made another agreement with her. Soon after Pompey set foot on Egypt, he was assassinated by Cleopatra's army. (Pompey was an enemy of Caesar.)
Caesar met Cleopatra in 48 B.C. when he came into Egypt on the trail of Pompey. Cleopatra had been driven off the throne by her brother and Caesar decided to try and smooth matters over.
Julius Caesar did not invade Rome. He was a Roman himself. Caesar fought the armies of the senate led by Pompey the Great in what historians have called Caesar's Civil War. Many battles were fought in this civil war. When Caesar defeated Pompey in the Battle of Dyrrhachium in Greece, Pompey fled to Egypt. King Ptolemy XIII, the co-ruler of Egypt with his sister Cleopatra VII, had an officer murder Pompey to ingratiate himself with Caesar. When Caesar reached Alexandria (the Egyptian capital) to pursue Pompey, Ptolemy presented him with Pompey's severed head. Caesar was disgusted. He seized Alexandria and arbitrated the rival claims to the throne of Ptolemy and Cleopatra. He became Cleopatra's lover and sided with her and after winning a local civil war, restored Cleopatra to the throne. Caesar's Civil War continued and Caesar fought more battles, this time against the supporters of Pompey.
As far as we know Julius Caesar never bought Cleopatra anything. But in a way, you could consider debt relief a kind of gift. To backtrack a little, both Caesar and Pompey owned the debt that Cleopatra's father had run up in order to get his kingdom back. Since Pompey was dead, Caesar is said to have cut Egypt's debt in half, only demanding his share of what was owed.As far as we know Julius Caesar never bought Cleopatra anything. The severed head of Pompey. Pompey was Caesar's rival in Rome-they had fought over the consulship of Rome. Pompey had sought refuge in Egypt. Confusingly both of Cleopatra's brothers/husbands were called Ptolemy. This was Ptolemy XIII.
Julius Caesar Married lots of Women. He married Cornelia first. Then Lucius Cornelius Cinna, Pompeia, and finally Calpurina. He did not marry Cleopatra but it is thought that they had a few affairs together.
When she met Caesar, Cleopatra wanted 1) her throne back and 2) she wanted to make some sort of deal with Caesar in regard to paying off her father's dept which Caesar and Pompey had bought up.

Caesar was involved with Egypt on several levels. He initially came to Egypt chasing after Pompey. Pompey, however was murdered by the Egyptian king Ptolemy XIII. Caesar decided to mediate between the Egyptian king, Ptolemy, and his exiled sister, Cleopatra. Now, this was not a humanitarian gesture by any means, on Caesar's part. Cleopatra and Ptolemy's father had borrowed heavily from Roman money lenders in order to regain his throne. (he had been usurped). Caesar and Pompey bought up the loan, Therefore, it was in Caesar's interests to have a stable Egypt, one which could repay the vast amount of money owed him. (Since Pompey was dead, the entire sum would have been owed to Caesar.) He was also involved in the Alexandrian war, in which the Alexandrians, who did not want a ruler imposed upon them by Rome, especially the unpopular Cleopatra, revolted. While he was in Egypt, Caesar also consulted with the Egyptian priests on restructuring the Roman calendar.
