Yes there is Mac and windows. Mac is better though
Operating systems don't have a "speed." The faster the computer is, the better the system runs.
Mostly Linux based operating systems like watos and Ubuntu(my personal preference is that its better than windows ) but there are other things like cosmos but that doesn't use graphics. I hope this helped!
Partially. Raw speed comes from the hardware, but a operating system that can optimize better than another makes it faster. It also depends on your definition of "advantage"
There is nothing wrong it doing so, though for convenience's sake it would probably be better to either stick to one operating system or run the others in virtualization.
Mac OS X is better than Vista easily.Linux isn't really for the average consumer.
1. Proprietary Systems which are usually non expandable systems for really small businesses. 2. PC Based Systems and these ones use a desktop computer for the core of the system. Your PC will need an operating system like Windows or better.
Different operating systems are better suited to different needs, mainly because of the software that is made for them. If you rely heavily on multimedia editing an production software, you may rely on Mac OS X as your operating system to run these programs. If you require business productivity applications or playing games, Windows may suit your needs better. If you require a secure and highly reliable workstation, server, or embedded device, or if you cannot afford either of the above for other needs, Linux may suit you better. This doesn't necessarily mean that you can't do all of the above with all of these systems (except maybe embedded systems with OS X), but the systems have all evolved independently to fill different niches better than others.
Microsoft is a commercial business. They create new operating systems so they can sell them. People purchase the latest operating system. Many of their customers preferred XP to their new systems until this latest system became available. Apparently, this latest endeavor is better than XP which is saying a lot.
Gmail is better than most of the mail services. It is because it is universally present. It can run on most of the Operating systems. All browsers support the Google Mail.
It is a necessary but insufficient condition, i.e. better transportation would help Sahel countries proper from the mineral resources as long as other elements are in play, such as stable governments, good diplomacy, better telecommunications, etc.
All operating systems manage system resources. Depending on the environment that the Operating System will work in (e.g. will it work in a lab or an office?) the way the user interacts with it is important. A graphical user interface (GUI) is much better than a Command Line Interface (CLI) for office workers as they are already familiar with it and little training is needed on the work places part. A CLI is useful for running tests in a lab or processing data where training has already given. A CLI is a no-frill operating system (e.g. no images etc.)
