eater=predator food=prey
either way it's mainly predator not very many animals plan on killing this Arctic fox unless it's a polar bear.
Predator and prey
The organism that does the killing in predation is known as the predator. The organism that gets attacked is known as the prey.
- larger than its prey, slower population growth than its prey, one predator individual consumes many prey individuals, immediately fatal to its host; an organism that feeds by preying on other organisms, killing them for food.
In their Arctic environment, polar bears are the highest predator in the food chain.They have no natural predator themselves. However they are also unfortunately "prey" to humans who illegally hunt them for their pelts.
Example: Lion = Predator Gazelle = Prey The predator seeks after the prey.
A prey is what a predator hunts down to kill and eat. A prey's predator is what eats it. For example: A gazelle is the prey of a leopard (predator).
A cow is not a predator or prey
Reptiles can be predator or prey.
They are prey and predator.
The parasites (predator) live in or on the host (prey), usually harming or weakening them but not immediately killing them.
