FDR was US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt(1882-1945), the 32nd President of the United States, who served from March 4, 1933 until he died in office on April 12, 1945.

He is known as being the President to enact the New Deal (mostly 1933-1941) and other social programs intended to address the Great Depression, and for guiding the nation during World War II (1941-1945).

He was elected 4 times (something now prohibited by the 22nd Amendment) and served for a term of 12 years and 39 days, the longest of any US President.
