(1) Two-thirds of the Senate votes to convict the president. (2) The president is removed from office.
Speaker of the House.
No, if the President is removed, retires or dies the Vice President will become President. If the Vice President can't fill the office for some reason then next in line is the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
According to the line of succession, the Speaker of the House would then become president.
You will see him on TV every day of his term now that he is President. He is followed everywhere by the White House Press corps and a day doesn't go by that you won't see him on TV.
William McKinley's wife, First Lady Ida Saxton McKinley, despised the color yellow. Enough so, that she had all the yellow flowers removed from the gardens and almost everything of that color from the white house itself.
The president must be formally charged with a crime (impeached) by the House of Reps. and then must stand trial in the US Senate. If convicted, he/she is removed. Impeached does not mean removed. We have impeached two presidents, but have never removed one.
I am not sure which president fits this description, but I do know that President Eisenhower's staff removed three squirrels that were digging up Ike's favorite putting green on the White House grounds. It wasn't that the president hating squirrels-- he hated what they were doing to his golf game. On the other hand, President Reagan became rather fond of the White House squirrels, and on one of his presidential Christmas cards, he had a picture of a squirrel running across the lawn.
If the President of the United States is removed from office, the Vice President immediately becomes the new President. Then, the Speaker of the House of Representatives becomes the President if the Vice President is unable to assume the role. The President Pro Tempore of the Senate would be next in line if both the Vice President and the Speaker of the House are unable to take on the presidency.
