iPod ClassicThe iPod Classic is almost the same as the iPod Nano. The only difference is that the iPod Classic has more memory and is bigger. So, if you don't need to download that much stuff, I suggest you choose the iPod Nano instead. It is a lot more portable than an iPod Classic - and also much cheaper. iTouchThe iTouch has a lot less memory than the iPod Classic, but it has a lot of better features, e.g., free internet (but only if you have wireless connection). You can watch YouTube videos whenever you want (Wi-Fi) on a wide screen on the iTouch. Also, it has a heat sensor touch screen for your convenience, and you'll never have to use the click wheel again. There is also a built-in sensor so you can tilt the screen of the iTouch to view cover flow and for better gaming. Not only that, but there are many applications you can add to the iTouch to entertain you through iTunes.

The devices aren't really that comparable to each other beyond playing two kinds of media (movies/music). So you should purchase based on need, not feature set (which, the Touch would win hands down). If you have a gargantuan music collection, or a lossless archive, the 160 gb Classic is a solid choice for an end-all PMP. If you need a convergence device that's essentially a miniaturized version of the iPad Mini, Facebook, Twitter, all that jazz, the Touch is for you.
