Can you call your mail woman mail carrier?

Female mail carriers are called "letter carriers", or "mail lady", or "mail carrier". If she is nice looking and you're feeling daring, call her "mail babe"....just kidding. All letter carriers like to be called by their name, so get to know your carrier and call him/her by name.

What is the federal law placing items in mailboxes?

The only party that can place mail in a mail box is a United States Postal employee and you. Using a mail box for unpaid unpostaged flyers is against the law. Notice they don't let you place any flyers on the community bulletin board either. Buy a stamp! The US Postal Service regulates the type of boxes allowed. In rural area's, the placement and height of the box for accessability by the rural carrier's car is dictated by the local office. I don't know if it's illegal to place a flyer on the outside of the mail box but the inside contents are reserved for you and the mail carrier only. The flag on the box is designed to alert the mail carrier you have outgoing mail so sticking a flyer and moving the flag to secure it is tampering with the mail.

If your rural mailbox has been vandalised and the postal carrier stops delivering your mail then how do you get your mail by law?

My mail is being delivered by people other then postal mail carrier. Not being put in A sealed mailbox. Is this lageal?

You must provide a postal approved mail box in order to receive mail and the mail carrier must place mail in the mail receptacle, the mail carrier is not allowed to place mail anywhere but in an approved mail box. If for any reason you don't have a mail box you should not be receiving mail under any circumstances.

Can a mail carrier read your magazines?

A mail carrier does not have the authority or time to read your magazines. Their job is to collect and deliver mail, not to read its contents. Privacy of mail is protected by law, and mail carriers are expected to uphold that privacy.
