Which speaker wire is the negative the gray or the gray with white striped?

The Speaker wire to use as the negative really doesnt matter when installing new wire as long as all speakers are hooked up the same way. Normally though most people use the solid colored wire as the negative.

What color is the negative speaker wire in a 2004 Ford Focus?
One way to know is to hook them up and if you see if the speaker cone moves inward on a bass note. If so, you have the + & - reversed. If the positive and negative is not marked on the speaker, connect a 9 volt battery quickly to the speaker. The cone will move outward when you have the + & - connected correctly. It will be either gray, or gray with a white or black tracer.

How do i determine what speaker wires coming from the radio are positive and negative I tried the continuity test through the chassis and got nothing from both wires?
Although the red (positive) and black (negative) are common variations, positive usually comes with a line (e.g gray with black or white line)
