No one does know for SURE who his grandfather is. Adolf's grandmother was pregnant and not married at the time when she concieved Alois Hitler (Hitler's father). There are no documentations about who he is. There are about three theories. One is that the man WAS in fact Jewish. How ironic. I do not remember the rest. Sorry :(

No, he was not. His father Alois Hitler was married three times. In his first marriage, he had no children. His second marriage, there were two children, a boy and a girl. Alois's third marriage, to his cousin Klara Pölzl, resulted in six children, of which, Adolf was the fourth. However, Adolf's three older siblings and one of his younger siblings all died as young children. Only Adolf, his two half-siblings and his younger sister Paula survived to adulthood.
