The Accuplacer exam is necessary for all new degree seeking students at some schools. The COMPASS exam and the Accuplacer exam are entrance exams for two year schools and act as placement tests. To know for sure which exam you should take, check with the school you are applying to.

Are sat scores required for junior college?

You can submit scores from any of the following assessments: ACT, SAT, THEA, COMPASS, ASSET, ACCUPLACER, TAAS, or TAKS. If you want to go on after junior college, for example to university, you could benefit from doing the SAT test and if you do the SAT test you need a score of at least 1017, and at least 500 in math! Hope this helps, and i hope we both do well in junior college this year!

Is the ACT difficult, or easier, than the SAT test prep?

Being that the enrollment to each of the tests is voluntary, there is no evidence that the ACT or SAT is harder than the other. Both tests were designed for the same purpose. The specific school of choice may have an opinion as to which test needs to be completed before admission, however, which test is taken is up to the individual. Do one really have to write SAT before they left high school?

No. There are colleges that do not require you to take the SAT to get in. Also a good alternative is the ACT, which is another standardized test which some people find easier to take than the SAT. But if you are looking to go to college, then the SAT is a good idea. If you are not going to college, then there is little to no reason to take it.

Why are SAT's preparations harder then SAT's?

Most SAT preparation books I have seen are usually about the same level as SAT. Some other test prep books will intentionally put harder material, so that the actual exam seems easier in comparison.

Does the SAT have calculus questions?

No, the original SAT test does not have calculus. The SAT Subject Test for Math 2 also does not have calculus.

Is the S.A.T a reasonable test?

Most schools usually do ACT's over the SAT's, but i believe either test is reasonable. Some people test better than others on the ACT's then the SAT's and vise versa.

What kind of test SAT gives?

SAT is a standardized test, giving an approximation of a student's ability in comparison to other students. There is the original SAT test and the SAT Subject Tests.

What test can you take to prepare you for the SAT reasoning test?

Do the online SAT practices prepare you for SAT test?

The online SAT's do prepare you for the SAT test because the SAT questions do not test intelligence rather they are predictable. Because they are not an IQ test, similar questions can be practiced online to help a student achieve a higher score easily.

Act easier than sat?

Some students feel the ACT is easier than the SAT, but others prefer the SAT over the ACT. It is a matter of personal preference. The SAT covers Critical Reading, Math, and Writing with a required essay. The ACT covers English, Math, Reading, and Science. Writing the essay is optional. The ACT is is based more on the content of high school courses. You may guess on the ACT with no penalty, while there is a small penalty on the SAT for guessing. I always suggest students try both tests in their junior year and then see how they feel about each. All colleges and universities will accept either test for college admission.
