Is an element's atomic mass always indicative of its level of radioactivity?

no

How do you know if you have an isotope?

Isotopes are determined by mass spectrometry or by measuring the radioactivity.

What type of radiation does radioactivity produces?

The Type Of Radiation That It Produce Is The Gamma Ray!

How does the mass number of an atom change when its nucleus absorbs a neutron?

Essentially the 3 basic parts to an atom are a Proton, Neutron and an Electron. Protons have a unit of mass and a positive charge Neutrons have a unit of mass and a neutral charge Electrons have no unit of mass and a negative charge. When a neutron breaks off from another atom it becomes a free radical that is then absorbed by the receiving atom because it would have a spare neutron space because the number of neutrons must be identical to the number of protons otherwise the atom will radioactivity decay. Essentially the mass number changes because the neutron has a mass.

Why do you measure radioactive uranium?

The mass is measured with a balance. The radioactivity is measured with a gamma-radiometer.

Essentially all of the mass of an atom is due to the?

nucleons

How is radioactivity and half life related?

half life is the time a substance takes to radioactively decay to half of its mass

Which type of radioactivity would be most dangerous if you were exposed to it from a source outside of your body?

Gamma radioactivity would be the most dangerous because, unlike alpha particles that can be blocked by paper or skin, and beta particles which can be shielded by foil, gamma radioactivity would need a lead shield. Plus gamma radioactivity effects organic material.

What is meant by the mass of an object?

It's essentially how much of the object there is.

What type of power plant most exposes us to radioactivity coal or nuclear plants?

nuclear plants because the fission reaction releases lots of radioactive particles causing radioactivity..

How is radioactivity stored?

This depends on the amount, specific activity, chemical form, type of emitted radiations.
