Something that impairs or detracts from physical perfection, or to find error or defect in something.
The elevated temperature and the application of loads that are a significant fraction of the failure strength of the material forming the asthenosphere lead to creep (or plastic) behaviour.
Heavy rains and massive deforestation can lead to hillslope failures. In an event of heavy rains, the soil is being saturated and it becomes very loose, which mean it is very vulnerable to hillslope failure. The loose soil will not hold on to each other well and gravity will pull in downwards. However, most of the time, trees are planted in the hillslopes so that the tree roots are able to hold on to the loose soil and prevent in from sliding downwards. Due to massive deforestation, there are now much fewer trees to do the job, and thus increasing chances of hillslope failure. Earthquakes and volcanic eruptions can also lead to hillslope failures. The seismic radiation of earthquakes are strong enough to vibrate the particles in the soil on hillslopes such that they become looser and more prone to sliding downwards. Volcanic eruptions also have the same effect as earthquakes. However, eruptions on volcanoes with glaciated peaks can cause the ice to melt, mix with the soil and volcanic materials and rush down as a big chunk of debris.
Cadmium is a poisonous chemical which in large concentrations can cause respetory problems, kidney failure and the softening of bone material.
The tsunami caused damage to the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant resulting in a series of equipment failure, nuclear meltdows, and release of radioactive material into the environment.

Indonesian President Sukarno died of kidney failure in Jakarta Army Hospital in June 1970. Indications are that a lack of medical care exacerbated existing health problems.
fatigue
creep
fatigue !!
Fatigue
It is a failure caused by a load in tension; that is, a force that stretches the material. For example, if you pull a beam along its axis and stetch it until it breaks, that is a tensile failure.
fantique fatigue
failure-loss of load carrying capacity. fracture-breaking of material in two piece due to application of load.
deformed
there are many causes for failure of road but the main cause is the drainage system of roads or material failure against the axial loading. The remedial measure against failure is that the road should be properly aligned or designed .
