There was only two tigers, the tiger 1, which was very powerful and armourd but slow. The king tiger, twice the power and armore, but was twice as slow. The Tiger 1 and Tiger 2 had the same top road speed. Go to Wikipedia for more info.
Yes, there is a working Tiger 1 at the Tank Museum at Bovington, England.
The Tiger 1 tank has a crew of 5, I know this because of a book called Tanks inside out. (The Tiger 2 or King Tiger also has a crew of 5)
the tiger 1 was a really great tank. Tank commanders like Erwin Rommel used tigers. on the other hand the armor of the king tiger was used to reflect or ricochet shells all that armor made the tank heavier. The tiger was formed during the Battle of Kursk, when the germans were trying to figure out a way to protect their flak 88s while setting them up. They put armor around the 88 which formed the tiger. My tank would be the tiger its faster more powerful and more armor. The king tigers were rarely used after the battle of Remagen.
There is only one tank named the Tiger and that's the Panzer 6, the biggest panzer was the Panzer 8 Maus
The tiger is six and the king tiger is seven Clarification: both the Tiger 1 and Tiger 2 (King Tiger) are designated Panzerkampfwagen VI (or panzer 6) the tiger 2 being designated Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf.B Tiger II. I'm not sure what a Panzer 7 was.
A Tiger tank was more powerful than a Sherman with Armor and the size of the gun. In WWII, it took about 4 Shermans to take out 1 Tiger.
Germany during WW2
The Tiger 1 could reach a speed of 24 mph .
According to Wikipedia (and other sources), the range of the German Tiger 1 tank was a maximum of 190km.
Tiger 1 Ausf.E - 56.9 metric tonnes approx. Tiger 2 Ausf.B - 68.9 metric tonnes approx. weight varied depending on modifications
Only to a certain amount but it does Varies on what Tank it is, How much Armor it has got and where. All Tanks should usually take normal gun bullets but when it omes to tcank shells, it only takes a certain bullet depending on the tank to destroy another tank. e.g. During WW2, The Soviets built the IS-1 Tank to defeat the German Panther and Tiger Tank, which the IS-1 had a 122mm, It was just capable to destroy the German Tiger Tank but required few direct blank shot hits due it's 120mm Armor. So as a response to the IS-1, The Germans brought out the King Tiger Tank which it had at best of 180MM of Armor. The King Tiger had 88mm Highly Explosive Gun. So Tanks are only bullet proof if the ammo hitting the tank doesn't damage or most importantly penetrate the Tank Armor.
