Jon and Kate Gosselin are reality television personalities. They intially captured the public's attention as two of ten stars on the reality show "Jon & Kate Plus 8," which was broadcast on The Learning Channel (TLC) from 2007 until November 23, 2009. Re-runs of the show are a regular part of the TLC broadcast schedule.

Ultimately, the Gosselin's marriage broke down, their divorce was finalized in December 2009. The show came to an end after Jon Gosselin called filming to a stop while his divorce from Kate Gosselin was in process.

Eventually this snowballed into the cancellation of the uber-popular reality show.

In 2010, TLC debuted 'Kate Plus 8' focused on Kate and the children.

The Gosselins are the parents of fraternal twin girls, around age 9, and a set of sextuplets - 3 boys and 3 girls - who are 5. The kids' names are (in birth order): twins, Cara, Mady; and sextuplets, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, Joel.

Kate used fertility treatments for both pregnancies. After the twins, she decided to have just one more child and ended up with six.

The show, which followed the Gosselins through their daily lives, aired Mondays at 9 PM EST on the Discovery Health Channel and also on TLC. The couple and their children originally appeared in an episode "Surviving Sextuplets and Twins," which was a part of a Discovery Health Channel show "Multiples." The Gosselins live in Pennsylvania.
