They are not really protected by anyone. Except if they were in a wild life water park or something then they would be protected by humans. And by the way dolphins gather together to make a circle around a shark if they were attacked by one, and kill it!!!

before the kill the shark, they will ram their hard snouts into the shark's soft underbelly.
dolphins are being protected by always being around other dolphins all the time
yes dolphins are protective over humans they also protect us from drowning and shark attacks. they are also very protective over their calve, baby dolphin.
Dolphins are friendly and a very intelligent specie of mammals. Dolphins move around in form of small groups, these groups communicate with others by warning them about nearby predators through voice signals.
All living things need to be protected. Are we reaally worried about our oceans becoming overpopulated with Dolphins? The world is covered with 2/3 water. There is plenty of room for the dolphins. Lets have open season on the fishermen who kill them in Japan. Thats my choice.
Dolphins do not mark their territory. In fact, they don't have exclusive territories. It isn't possible to have territorial boundaries in the ocean where there are no landmarks to act as boundary lines.
If we atop killing themto protect the hectors dolphin that is endangered is to do not throw your garbage or trash into the ocean water or either the sand
One hopes that all wildlife in the Amazon is protected, apart from allowing catching edible fish within sustainable limits.
Fisherman hunt them,so they are told to attack other dolphins, but not hurt the killer whale/Orca.They die easily because the prey hunted not protected.
Well most of the whales and dolphins and fish go into marnie parks to do shows, or they mostely there because they need to be protected from humans killing them.... Im not sure, but I know that they can do better to build some place where they can keep whales and dolphins in an better environment! That's all i have got!! Sorry
Dolphins are vertebrates.
