The personal benefits to be gained by a WikiGuide far outweigh any other reason for joining Community Outreach. WikiGuides gain self-esteem and great satisfaction for going out into the community, mingling, welcoming new contributors, making friends, and helping create and maintain a warm and friendly community environment. In doing so, they gain recognition on the site for their efforts. Our Status Levels provide each WikiGuide with goal-setting opportunities that each can work toward on his or her own with no competition. Incoming volunteer WikiGuides receive a WikiGuide badge.
