they are people who originally came from Tibet, even the rongpas themselves are not knowing when or from where as they didn't cared much about it ,have no written records the topic is quite disputed and often debated among the ronpas they used to trade with Tibet till the late 60's but after sino India war that trade stopped, now they are settling all over the India, i must add here that they have very high educatuion levels for a society hardly 20.000 in numbers approx
and for a society so much living on the extereme borders
now a days most young ronpas are engineers doctors MBA's
, ronpas are a group slowly merging with mainstream India maybe losing their identty too
very few young ronpas know their native tongue called the "marcha" languiage
along with that they have a few dishes they can call their own
