In MySims, you are in a town helping people out with whatever needs to be done, and in MySims Kingdom, your going from island to island as a wandolier with a magic wand helping out other Sims. Both games are really fun. :) But it really depends on what you like to play. If you like solving puzzles and mysteries and taking on the cases of Sims who need your help, then MySims Agents is for you! If you like traveling from Island to Island as an Adventurer and helping people out, than MySims Kingdom is for you! Both games are really cool and fun to play :) Once you play one of these games for a while, you get addicted to it and can't stop playing. :) IMPROVED ANSWER: Not really. In My Sims Kingdom (for DS) you have to solve mysteries and help people, you're not really an adventurer. You also have to be creative, since you need to rebuild the town and stuff.

There are a bunch of other MySims games: MySims Racing, MySims Party, MySims Agents, MySims Skyheroes, MySims Kingdom... but none of them involve the building that you see in MySims, as far as I know. There is also The Sims, but that is rated T for some risque stuff in that and I have never played it. It is for adults and teenagers more than kids. But it does have the building and character personalizing of MySims, only it's more in-depth. I've also seen SimCity, which is similar in that you can design your own buildings (in Building Architect) and decide what goes where, but it's less about the people of the city, and more about how you actually run the city. (You're the mayor, you set taxes and build power plants and zone land.)
Is My Sims Kingdom DS or My Sims DS better?
Well on Mysims you have to build houses and fruniture for people, and you get to decide more on the things in your town. But on Mysims Kingdom you get to travel to different island helping sims do tasks, like water flowers or find clues or something. But my sims kingdom has a more set outline and really don't get to decide much.
