Mary 1 became queen because elizebeth did not want to be queen anymore
38.
Queen Mary I (TUDOR) died and Queen Elizabeth I (Mary's half sister) became Queen.
Her daughter, Mary Tudor, who became Queen Mary I. ( & this is not Mary, Queen of Scots)
She was 1 week old when she became queen.
no she was nine
She had married Francis, the eldest son of the King of France. When he became king of France she became Queen Consort (ie wife of the king). She was also Queen of Scotland as Mary I in her own right (Queen Regnant)
Elizabeth the 1st
Queen Mary Stewart I of Scotland was already queen of the nation of scotland. She became queen when she was six days old due to her father's early death. She became Queen of France after her marriage to Francis II. Catholics believed her to be the Queen of England(not recognizing Queen Elizabeth I)because they did not recognize the devorce of Katherine of Aragon and Henry VIII and therefore his marriage to Anne Boleyn(mother of Queen Elizabeth I)was seen as null and void. Mary was even said to have called herself at the time Queen Mary II of England or Queen Mary of Scotland, France, and England.
37 (if you mean Mary I of England). 6 days (if you mean Mary I of Scotland). 42 (if you mean Mary I of Portugal).
